“For the first time since the pandemic began, Oak Park will have an emergency overnight shelter for those experiencing homelessness. On Wednesday, January 4, Housing Forward will open a 15-bed shelter at St. Catherine of Siena-St. Lucy. To make this happen, Housing Forward, the Oak Park Homelessness Coalition, Village of Oak Park and St. Catherine of Siena-St. Lucy and St. Giles Parish leadership worked together over the past few months. The shelter, located at 38 N. Austin Blvd., Oak Park, IL 60302 will be open daily from 7 pm – 6:30 am from January 4 through April 30.
