Position Title Membership Experience and Sales Coordinator
Job Description The Membership Experience and Sales Coordinator works alongside the studio leadership to ensure YogaSix Oak Park provides an exceptional member experience. This position is primarily responsible for execution of high quality member activities, assurance of ongoing staff training on member experience, and leading of sales process for new student prospects.

This is an ideal position for a yoga instructor with experience in customer service, hospitality and/or sales.This is a part time, hourly position with the possibility for full time based on performance and studio growth.

Minimum applicant requirements: 

  1. A minimum of 2 years in a customer service, hospitality, or sales environment.
  2. Demonstrated ability to lead with high emotional intelligence, excellent interpersonal and strong communication skills
  3. Organized and thoughtful with basic computer skills (google suite, ability to learn studio software and management tools)
  4. creativity and enthusiasm for team and member engagement
  5. positive energy and a desire to contribute to the studio’s growth
  6. Evening and weekend availability (3 weekday afternoon/evening and one weekend shift required, approximately 25 hours per week)

Responsibilities

  • Sales Coordination: Conduct daily assessment of new prospects booked and collaborate with staff to ensure sales goals are achieved for first time bookings and confirmed appointments. Make daily calls to book and confirm appointments in line with studio performance expectations. Lead the sales process during studio shifts to sell memberships to first time visitors and maintain detailed notes in the studio customer relationship management system.
  • Staff Development: Facilitate ongoing training with all YogaSix Oak Park staff on the Y6 customer experience from client intake to in studio member engagement and studio operations. Provide regular feedback to studio leadership on improvement opportunities and collaborate with team members to deliver an exceptional member experience.
  • Member Experience: Facilitate new member onboarding through calls and emails to ensure members have a successful start to their yoga practice at YogaSix Oak Park. Create and execute monthly member experience and member appreciation events (challenges, social events, special classes, etc.) in collaboration with the studio leadership. Lead the member loyalty program ensuring consistent recognition and encouragement of member milestones. Facilitate member surveys and connect with customers for regular informal feedback on schedule and member experience.
  • Operations: All staff members at YogaSix Oak Park are responsible for maintaining a high degree of cleanliness, safety and studio presentation for current and potential customers. The member experience lead is responsible for conducting bi monthly operations quality checks.
  • Self Management: Assumes responsibility for developing necessary sales, customer service, and leadership skills for the role, reviewing training materials and participating in staff meetings to support achievement of personal and studio goals. “Go the extra mile” to create an overwhelmingly positive member experience and deliver exceptional customer service

Position Title Sales Associate

The Fitness Sales Associate is responsible for making 30 outbound calls per shift to book first-time visitor appointments to the studio and ensure prospects and members have an overwhelmingly positive experience. The Sales Associate’s duties include working closely with current and potential customers to recommend classes and membership options based on their wellness goals, answer their questions about the studio, and help resolve customer concerns. The successful sales associate will stay up-to-date with sales promotions, maintain the studio’s visual appearance to high standards, and strive to exceed individual and studio sales goals.

Preferred Schedule: Monday through Thursday 4pm to 9pm (20 hours per week)

Responsibilities

  • Customer experience: welcome visitors and members to the studio, answer phones and assist customers at the front desk with various administrative tasks. Handle member issues professionally and objectively, seeking to resolve them through exceptional customer service. Build productive trust relationships with customers.
  • Sales: Support the sales process by contacting sales prospects via telephone and text messaging, setting up appointments, and reviewing membership options with new visitors to the studio. Assess customers needs and provide assistance and information on studio features, class offerings and membership options. Meet and exceed weekly and monthly sales goals established by the General Manager
  • Prospecting: support in and out of studio events to generate new sales prospects (health fairs, community events, marathons, etc.) Support studio marketing and social media activities.
  • Member engagement: Conduct studio tours with new prospects to build rapport to facilitate sales; set new members up for success, support members with class selection and participate/lead member appreciation events
  • Operations: Maintain a high degree of cleanliness and studio presentation for current and potential customers. Assist in maintaining a safe environment for all.
  • Self Management: Assumes responsibility for developing selling skills, reviewing training materials and participating in staff meetings to support achievement of personal and studio goals. “Go the extra mile” to drive sales and deliver exceptional customer service

  • Proven work experience as a Retail Sales associate, Sales representative or similar role (i.e. Orangetheory fitness, Gym or health club front desk, Gap, Victoria’s Secret)
  • Basic understanding of sales principles and customer service practices
  • Proficiency in English
  • Excellent phone skills
  • Solid communication and interpersonal skills
  • A friendly and energetic personality with customer service focus
  • Ability to perform under pressure and address complaints in a timely manner
  • Availability to work flexible shifts
  • High school degree; BS degree in Marketing or related field would be a plus
