Meet Erica Cuneen, one of our DTOP business owners that keeps this district thriving! Erica opened Beyond Properties Realty in 2007 (they just celebrated their 16th anniversary) and re-located to Marion Street in 2011. They are one of the few woman-owned real estate agencies left in the area and pride themselves in their small-but-mighty team of agents.
25 years ago, Erica moved from Chicago because she wanted the close access to the city and loved the diversity Oak Park provided for her family. Her personal connection to Oak Park is what first inspired her to get into real estate, and her intuition and passion for the industry eventually led her to launch Beyond Properties!
Erica quickly found that her love for the area made it easy to help her clients find their perfect home in Oak Park. When the market hit hard times in 2007, she adapted by shifting her focus to working with property investors and her business continued to thrive. Today, Beyond Properties serves buyers, sellers, and investors throughout the Chicago Metro Area and takes pride in calling Downtown Oak Park their home.

When it’s a current or past client’s birthday, Erica sends them a card they can redeem at Sugar Fixe for a free birthday cupcake; she’s hosted movie nights at Lake Theater, has regular meetings with her staff at Hecho en Oak Park, and the books her team reads together always come from The Book Table.
